Eye Elixir is a concentrated blend of the following amazing oils:

Pomegranate Seed Oil –   One of the only plant sources of conjugated fatty acids, and has an extremely high level of punicic acid (78%). This acid has been called a “super CLA” (conjugated linoleic acid). CLA helps skin retain moisture by boosting ceramide synthesis in skin cells; this fortifies the skin barrier and helps to retain moisture in the skin. Pomegranate seed oil has the ability to heal, protect, and moisturise the skin. It is a very useful for dry, cracked skin and is reported to protect the skin from signs of aging, by bringing elasticity back to the skin.

Cacay Oil – Cacay oil has recently been touted as the new ‘miracle’ oil in skin care. It is easily absorbed into the skin and rich in Vitamins A, E, and retinol. It is believed to contain three times more retinol than other popular anti-ageing oils including Rosehip, and 50 percent more Vitamin E and linoeic acid than Argan oil.

Camellia Oil – The “beauty secret” of the geishas of Japan, camellia has been recognised for centuries in Eastern Asia for its highly regenerative and restorative effects on the skin. Camellia oil is known for its excellent moisture-retaining ability. It absorbs quickly and easily, and leaves the skin looking and feeling smooth and supple. Camellia also possesses antioxidant, disinfectant, and germicidal properties. Camellia is extremely rich in monosaturated fatty acids, containing more than 80% oleic acid. It is also rich in vitamins A, B and E, various minerals, and squalene, which is an important component of the skin’s natural emollient system. Deficient levels of squalene can result in dry, sagging, and wrinkly skin.

Rosehip Oil – Famous for its regenerative qualities, Rosehip oil is one of the world’s most popular skin repair oils.  This oil has high levels of beta-carotene –  a key nutrient assisting skin cell renewal and protecting from sun damage.  Rosehip oil is also a rich source of vitamn A (retinol) and vitamin C. Many of the pharmacological properties and therapeutic claims surrounding Rosehip oil relate to its high content of flavonoids, o-ketonic compound (3-penten-propyl-ketone), and trans-retinoic acid. Rosehip oil has a similar pH balance to that of the natural oil found in human skin, which means that it does not clog pores. It’s also packed with essential fatty acids which deeply moisturise the skin, improving elasticity and softness.  Used regularly, Rosehip oil has a deeply nourishing effect on ageing and dry skin, and helps to visibly reduce the appearance of wrinkles and uneven skin tone.

Chamomile Essential Oil – Calming, soothing, anti-inflammatory and gentle

Frankincense Essential Oil – A powerful astringent, meaning it helps protect skin cells. It can be used to help reduce blemishes, wrinkles and can tighten and lift skin to slow the signs of aging.

I wasn’t sure whether to try this but thought i’d treat myself. I have to say this is really nice and certainly helps to moisturise and nourish the under eye area. I use it daily in the evenings but a little goes such a long way that i haven’t had to buy another one yet but when the time comes, i will!

I use this with the fabulous face oil – they make a great team. This elixir absorbs quickly and easily and my under-eye skin feels moisturised and definitely more robust than the thinner dryer version it was. 🙂

Been using this twice daily since arriving in the post and very surprised to say I am actually noticing a difference, I have always had dark circles under my eyes and I am noticing the area appears brightened, which is a plus for me! Also smells nice 🙂
